Yökylä is a story-based contemporary circus performance for the whole family. The humorous and exciting performance is a story about friendship, sleep and the power of imagination created by three circus artists.
The work focuses on the sleepover setting that many people are familiar with from childhood. Almost everyone has spent the night with friends in a not-so-familiar environment. Often everyday bedtimes are extended and the boundaries created by rules are dissolved. Ordinary bedroom transforms into an amusement park, a space shuttle or even a haunted forest with the help of imagination.
The performance brings the viewer an interpretation of a very ordinary situation, which the virtuosity of the circus artists elevates into an astonishing experience.
