The mission of the multi-arts association TipTop Walkers is to produce accessible art that can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
The association produces high-quality contemporary circus productions and roaming art. TipTop Walkers’s vision is to develop roaming art and walkabout characters with long traditions into a respected art form and to diversify the presence of circus art in areas where it is rarely, if at all, enjoyed.
Established in 2019, TipTop Walkers creates work opportunities for artists and brings artists in the early stages of their careers together with industry veterans in a long-term, financially and ethically sustainable way.
TipTop Walkers produces roaming and walkabout art, characters and circus performances and productions. Roaming art and performances are offered for private events as well as large festivals.
TipTop Walkers’ special expertise is regional art created with a big heart. We create theme ensembles that combine magnificent costumes, skillful circus skills and professional character work.
The artists we work with bring our most beloved characters to life, creating unprecedented, moving cultural experiences for audiences.

Lassi Tauriainen, Artistic Director
Lassi Tauriainen is a circus artist and dreamer whose creative energy seems to know only one speed: full. He is an acrobat, director, sound designer, road rider and tireless community builder who believes in the power of circus to unite, amaze and heal.
Tauriainen believes it is important that art does not remain in the spotlight of big cities, but also spreads to sparsely populated areas and archipelago villages.
Kreetta Astala, Artist Liaison
Kreetta Astala is a circus artist and TipTop Walkers’ go-to person. Her artistic journey has its roots in visual arts and creative writing, until the fascination with body movement won out. Astala, a former competitive gymnast, has a knack for discipline and technical precision, but in the circus, she found something much greater – artistic freedom.
